Project Description:
This project called for the replacement of the deteriorating glass block windows and an additional exterior metal stairway. The new windows consisted of new frames, louvers, sliding windows, and explosion panels. Unique to this project, the explosion panels were designed to release fro the frame in the event of an explosion in the factory, relieving pressure on the structure. The new exiting stair provides another safe exit out of all floors of Cleaning House #3. Quaker Oats is also pursuing a LEED-EB certification with this building. |
