Project Description:
The Lodge is a multi-purpose recreational / community facility. It features a main multiuse grand space with adjacent support spaces including; kitchen, restrooms, and outdoor terrace for general public use. The complex and surrounding site was planned and designed in close cooperation with the Linn County Park Planner to accomplish a seamless integration into the greater park. Fundamental design strategies and features include; southern exposure, natural day lighting, natural ventilation, high efficiency in-floor hydronic heating system, wood burning fireplace and utilization of renewable materials including a heavy timber structural system. |
